Hope for Life volunteers are indispensable and key members. They play a vital role in our organization especially in the care of our patients and their families. They are caring, compassionate, and dedicated team who desire to serve. Our volunteers are thoroughly screened, extensively trained, professional and reliable.
Volunteers are a resource you can trust and depend on. Whether in your home, assisted living facility or hospital, they are a dedicated, committed, caring team who personalize their care to try and meet your needs.
Immediate need for volunteers:
To visit in homes and nursing homes
Pastors to perform counseling, funerals, address specific spiritual needs of patient or family members.
Phone support
On-call evenings and weekends in your local area.
Meal organizer
Meal preparers
Card and letter senders
Home Helper assistance. Housekeeping assistance or yard. Also, carpentry, snow shoveling, plumbing and moving assistance.
Bereavement Support
Grief support groups-Location and Leaders needed.
Churches to hold a local GriefShare in the following communities
Elkhart, Warsaw, Bremen, Mishawaka, South Bend, Culver, Knox, LaPorte, Michigan City and surrounding communities. (Facilitator training available).
Leaders for each local GriefShare group.
Fundraising events-Help organize, set-up, tear down, seek funds & donations, pick up items, deliver items, etc.

Someone with extensive computer software knowledge particularly in Microsoft Access
Volunteer Social Worker a few hours per week.
